Sun Won't Come Out

Listening to Pete Rock and C.L. Smooth's The Main Ingredient. Got my head right, finally. Went and worked out with my trainer. Sweated out all my evil vibes. Then made steak, cream cheese mashed potatoes, and a salad for dinner. Left the caffeine alone for a minute.

Still pouring rain out though. I'm gonna start wearing gum boots and a yellow rain slicker. Fuck trying to look cute in monsoon season.

Been working on a feature on Chick Lit. I find those books strangely addictive. For the most part, the writing is shoddy, superficial, and shamelessly self-absorbed. Yet I continue to check them out of the library week after week. They are just so damn relaxing. Would be fun to write one, I imagine. And actually do a good job of it--make it about more than just boys and designer gear--like she did. Land yourself on the New York Times Bestseller List.
