New York State of Mind
Must be fast, cause I have lots to do, including--but not limited to--walking around drinking coffee and grinning like a fool.
But quickly, my damn flight was delayed last night and I missed Saigon's set. Boooo. How do you fly to a whole other country to see a show and miss some of it? Anyway, did see Rakim's set. Slow start, I thought, but lots of energy by the end. It was shit-packed in there and dudes were restless cause Rakim took forever to get out on stage.
Going to interview Saigon later this week cause it got too late last night. Shout out to Abandoned Nation.
I was starving last night after the show and so I went to Starlight Diner at 2 in the morning with a friend for eggs. The streets were silent and we chilled in a booth and watched the snow come down.
Today it's cold sunshine. And big smiles. I love this city. As much as I build it up, it never lets me down.
